Sum of My Thoughts

by The Kat © July 2, 2009

Occasionally, a stray thought seems to flutter down out of the ether into my mind and I feel compelled to jot it down. Below is a collection of those musings, which may end up in a book, someday, when I accumulate enough of them.

I’ll add new thoughts to the top of this list
, so please check back, occasionally. Enjoy . . .

“Learn to accept the goodbyes that are given, instead of the ones you’ve envisioned.”

“Some brothers are born of blood while other brothers are discovered.”

“Neither a closed mind nor a clinched fist can grasp new things.”

“If you’re standing around, admiring your handiwork, then you’re not moving forward.”

“Whether lifting weights or struggling to find true love, without resistance you will not grow stronger.”

“If you can grasp infinity, you’re not reaching far enough.”

“If you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, then why are there no term limits in Congress?”

“What if your thoughts were responsible for the universe? What would you think differently, today?”

“If it’s better to give than receive, then why do politicians and preachers always have their hands out?”

“The universe only knows one word: Yes.”

“If you wait till you get all your ducks lined up in a row, you’ll never get out of the pond.”

“You can’t see eye to eye, if you’re looking down on someone.”

“Life is not a competition, neither is it a race; you can always tell who’s winning by the smile upon their face.”

“Ignorance breeds fear, then abandons its offspring.”

“Belief is all there is. You’re free to believe otherwise.”

“Just because there’s nothing new under the sun, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be amazed by all of it.”

“God paints the greatest landscapes, everyday.”

“Cosmic math adds unto; the human ego divides. Subtract the ego, multiply by love and your answer is heaven. Do the math.”

“Universe. Uni-verse. One verse vibrating in harmony. Have you tuned your instrument or are you singing off-key?”

Excerpts from Previous Posts

I love the rain. I love the sound of it, especially as I’m waking up or going to sleep. It’s a primal womb sensation. Sometimes, I’ll awaken in the middle of the night and just lie there, listening to it, like a 5-year-old who is afraid he might miss something if he’s lulled back to dreamland. — The Kat
